New website to go live on Tuesday, Feb. 17

Posted Date: 02/13/26 (03:26 PM)

Good afternoon, students, family, and community members!

We have some exciting news to share: We are updating our website, and expect it to go live on Tuesday (Feb. 17) morning!

It will be in the same place, www.ballard.kyschools.us, and will look very similar at the top of the home page, but as you scroll down, you'll see many changes - including a feed directly from our ParentSquare app for news and other posts. We are hoping it will be even more functional for students, families, and staff.

The former Students and Parents links, along with the Forms and Other Links, have been combined into the Resources link, near the right end of the icon strip directly under the video. From there, you can click Student Resources, Parent Resources, or Forms and Other Links.

Our Employment page now has its own link there on the icon strip as well. The Volunteers tab remains in the green strip above the video.

Many of the most-used links for things like Infinite Campus portals for parents and students, District Email, Clever login, ParentSquare, My School Bucks and more will be located near the top right corner in the “Popular Links” dropdown. This will be the quickest and easiest way for students, and families, and staff to find many of the links they need.

Items in the header like Schools and Departments will look familiar, and will function in the same way as before. About Us now will include drop-down links to important district documents, our Board members and meeting minutes, and our official Bomber images. The shortened staff directory includes principals, administrators, and department or program heads, and features a new Send Message button.

We expect the site to go live at 7 a.m. Central time on Tuesday. Hopefully, the transition will begin at that time, and phase in over the next hour or so. If we receive a delay notification, we'll try and let you know.

Welcome to the next phase of communication at Ballard County Schools!
